Umberto Cesari, the namesake of the winery located in Castel San Pietro Terme, near Bologna, has become an ambassador of Sangiovese in the Emilia Romagna region. He elevated Sangiovese in the region finding the ideal soils and best sites to grow it and make high quality wines.
