Bibenda awarded Cinque Grappoli (Five Bunches) to Resultum 2013, the highest score that the guide published by the Italian Sommelier Federation confers on a wine.
Resultum represents the bond between the past and the future of the company, it embodies a contemporary vision, and it is the result of continuous agronomic experiments and viniculture research over the years.
Pure Sangiovese fermented in steel and aged only in the bottle, this wine is made from grapes grown in the Miravalle estate, characterized by vineyards with different exposures, in order to choose the best grapes according to the climatic conditions of the various vintages. An essential wine, that is not aged in wood, but exclusively in the bottle for a year, to further enhance its elegance, harmony and refinement.
As the Latin root (resilire) suggests, Resultum owes its name to the ability to adapt to changes, including climatic ones, to give a wine of great character, structured, muscular and mirror of the territory.
This recognition goes along with the many already received by Resultum and further confirms the excellence of our Sangiovese grapes.
The Cinque Grappoli assigned by FIS are a confirmation and a incentive for all of us at Umberto Cesari to continue making great wines that enhance the Romagna region in Italy and around the world.
