100% Pignoletto
Pignoletto Moma is a crisp, stylish sparkler, with a leisurely cascade of pin-point bubbles and a delicate bouquet of wildflowers, jasmine, and Golden Delicious apple.
Interesting facts
The “Golden Glass” on the front label, representing a golden wineglass, was selected from the over 300 artworks submitted to the third edition of the Umberto Cesari Art Contest. Its contemporary feel conveys ethnic overtones as well, which harmonise well with Moma’s refinement.
A 100% Pignoletto sparkling wine, from grapes grown in vineyards averaging 15 years old and yielding 100 quintals per hectare, planted in semi-pebbled, clay soils. The clusters are gently pressed, and the must ferments at a controlled temperature of 16°C. The Pignoletto cuvée then referments for 30 days at 15°C in steel pressure fermenters, utilising the Martinotti-Charmat method, which provides effervescence and preserves intact the grapes’ aromas and flavours. The sparkling wine matures a further 120 days sur lie.

In 1964, Umberto Cesari noticed a small vineyard and an abandoned residence and decided that his winery would be there. That house still stands, alongside our vineyards of Albana and Pignoletto.
